In this part of my blog I will show some games that help me to practice my English, one of them the teacher Floria gave us (in fact, she has given us enough links to practice our English) which is the video of irregular verbs. It is pretty funny but the most important is that the video helps to learn the verbs. I hope you enjoy the links that I found and helps you to improve your English as well. C:

Reflexions

I want to say that I am pretty happy to have a tecaher Floria Zamora as a teacher and I can see that she is passionate about what he does that is teach the language. I have only seen a few teachers like her. I feel lucky to have had her as teacher.

I have always thought that is very important the participation in class because of this way you learn from others and you can practice talking with classmates as well. Therefore, your knowledge increases.

Thanks to that, I learned new vocabulary and new verbs tense. The videos that the teacher show us had a wonderful information that I want to share with my family.

I can convey my ideas more fluently than before, because my vocabulary has increased.

I’m glad to have learned new vocabulary and be able to convey my ideas better than before because I used to think much the things that I want to say. This frustrated me. Of course that I have improve more but, this is a good progress.

I could show better how to express their ideas in an orderly fashion and grammar I've been learning.

Unit 8 and 9

I will tell you about the topic that for was interesting in these units.

Reported speech

When we want to tell what someone said or thought to another person, we use reported speech.

Example:

I drank coffee yesterday --- He said (that) he had drank coffee the day before.

Reporting verbs

This is other way to express what someone say or admitted previously.

After the teacher explained to us the topic, she put us on such a wonderful video about the Steve Jobs’s live. Next, we had to write sentences with what  Steve Jobs had said in the video, but the sentences had to be written with reporting verbs.

I will give you an example that I did in class.

Example:

He admitted falling in love with an amazing woman who would become in his wife.

We can us create sentences with the following words: 

say, explain + verb + (that)

tell, warn + verb + object + (that)

ask, remind + verb + object + infinitive

promise, decide + verb + infinitive

suggested, admitted + verb + gerund

Past modal of deduction

As the same way that we use the modals to predict something, also there is a way to speculate the past.

Structure:

Subject + modal of deduction + have + past participle + complement

Example:

She might have stayed in Ofelia’s house the day before.
