After have read the story, we solved the part b of the same page of the book.
In this unit we made a review of past forms (simple past, past continuous, past perfect and past perfect continuous).
At first, it was a little hard for me learning all the past forms, but with the time, I was able to learn them good.

Past forms

Simple Past

Simple Past is one of the easiest tenses to identify. First, we have to know that simple past is used to talk about of actions that were performed and completed in the past.

I will show some words that help us to identify when someone are talking us in past tense.

Words

Ago
Last
Yesterday
When

Example
I went to the movies yesterday.

Past progressive

When we want to talk about actions that were in progress in a specific time in the past we use Past Continuous. Also is called Past Progressive.

Example
I was reading for hours until I fall asleep.

Pas perfect

Past Perfect is an action that was performed before another action in the past.

Example
The meeting had already started by the time I arrived.

Past Perfect continuous

We use past perfect continuous to talk about actions that were in progress in the past, but the actions finished until the moment that is speaking.

Example.
I had been doing my homework until you arrived.

The professor taught us some adverbs: position
This class was important to me because some of this adverbs, were unknown them to me. I will show some adverbs that I have been using pretty often.
Some of them are used at the beginning of the sentence, at the middle and at the end.

Adverbs

However is used at the beginning of the sentence. This is one of the connecting adverbs. Its meaning is, Sin embargo in Spanish. ( ActiveBook page 39 part 6)

Fully, is one of the adverbs of certainty and completeness. This adverb is used at the middle of the sentence and before of the main verb. ( ActiveBook page 39 part 6)
